MLS generously sent a selection of their latest products and I had fun deciding what I wanted to make. I was drawn to the bright colors, so I decided to do a scrapbook page about the fun we had in the sprinkler last summer when it was so, SO hot and humid. Probably had something to do with being 8 and 9 months pregnant at the time, too! ;)
I used a mix of the MLS Happy Go Lucky and Lovely Day lines and Lemon Drop twine. I love those little cloud stickers! I have never hand stitched this much on a layout, but I can see why people love it. Time consuming, yes, but very satisfying, too! I first traced 2 circles in pencil using 2 different sized plates. Then I put a squishy mousepad under my page and used my paper piercer to poke holes every 1/4 inch or so around both lines. I stitched around until I was done and my fingers were sore. If I had a hard time getting the needle through the hole, I used one of those rubber jar opener things to help pull the needle through.
