my echo park love affair

With how busy I've been this summer trying to keep a 5 year old and a baby entertained in this crazy heat we've had, I have hardly scrapped at all. It's sad, really. I've only done like 3 pages in the past 2 or 3 months. I've done some other crafty things, though, so it's not all bad, but I do miss the paper, the glue dots, the smell of the Staz-On. Anyway, I realized the last 3 pages I've done have all been with Echo Park! I guess you could say I haven't met an Echo Park line I didn't like- especially these two I recently used...

This layout is about last Halloween, using the Hello Summer line. For some reason I always feel like I've pulled something off by using a themed line for something completely different. Like I should pat myself on the back for it. ha!

This one is from the Hello Summer line, too. This is just about my favorite ever picture of my kids together! The button flair on there is from bluebird chic- Leah has some of the cutest flair buttons. Check her out!

I realized with CHA happening, that I better use up some of my stuff from last CHA (I haven't even touched the Dear Lizzy Neopolatin stuff that I HAD to have). I'm going to try to be a more conservative buyer this time around, but they make it so hard! LOL! I forgot how busy a little baby can keep a mom. I did this last layout to use up some of my This & That Charming collection. It actually turned out as a kind of minimalist layout paper-wise, but I think the simplicity draws attention to that photo of my hubs and son that just makes my heart happy.

OUT FOR PUBLICATION! :)

Speaking of CHA, Cassie is offering up a pretty sweet deal at Paper Issues to make way for all of the new CHA goods on the way! Save 30% in the Paper Issues Shop with the code CHA30. Yup- even the October Afternoon Cakewalk and Studio Calico Heyday. No kidding. Get shopping!

fabulous layouts.. I love EP too. every line has something fun. Are you doing 8.5x11? very cool. I want to start a book that size.
I hear you about always wanting the new and not using the old fast enough...I go on a scrap diet, every time.. I've been doing this for 5+ years... lol.. never works. =)
