I sewed a vellum pocket and poured in every red, green and white sequin that I owned for the cover. I also cut the word December and the year 2012 (although that one is hiding behind all those sequins) on my Cameo (font: Sophie) and slipped those in there, too. I used bright green thread on the spool and red in the bobbin for a fun contrast in the stitching. I nearly died with excitement that this turned out just like I wanted.
I decided to go pretty simple again this year. Last year, I just used shipping tags and smaller photos, but this year I wanted to use Instagram photos, so I had to make it bigger. I started with 6x6 cardstock pages and then used a 3.5x3.5 square of paper and a few banners or stickers on each page. This only took a few sheets of patterned paper- I used some of last year's October Afternoon Christmas line I had in my stash and a little of last year's Crate Paper 6x6 pad. I cut the date banners from a file from the Silhouette store- love them!
I plan on printing 3x3 Instagrams at Persnickity at the end of the month and adding all the photos then. As of right now, I'm even all caught up on the journaling! For the back page of the book, I cut a 6x11 inch piece of paper and folded up the bottom 5 inches and sewed the sides to make a pocket to hold whatever for the month. Right now, our family's Christmas card is tucked in there. I think it needs a little something- it's looking rather plain right now...
Are you doing a December Daily? If so, I'd love to see it- link me up in the comments! I'm in a facebook group for December Dailies that has been great for photo/journaling prompts and other bits of inspiration, so that has been helpful, too. Some of the albums are completely amazing! It's fun to see everyone's progress so far and I think it will help me keep up with mine daily... now that I've gotten it all ready. ;) Hope your holiday plans are going well, everyone!

Hi Sarah!!! love your DD. those sequins are awesome. I have my cover and base completed. just need to add the goods.
I'm thinking of a crop night this month. Any weekends or nights you are available to get out?
LMK.
Happy New Year!!!!
=)
Oh, I love how this is turning out...that cover is amazing!
And I have to say...you won't believe this, but true...Project Life to me is easier to do than December Daily. December Daily is daily...Project Life, can be daily, but I do weekly and might even try monthly. I did DD in 2011 to see how I would do with PL, and really can't compare the two, similar in ideas, but PL was much simpler for me. Go for it! All those little details and photos can printed and documented without guilt!
